The Second Visit

The second time I took her to the vet, her cherry eye had popped back out, and she looked like she was getting a major rash on her skin. Her cherry eye had become swollen in her eye was goopy. Her skin was scaly and dry, and in some places cracked and bleeding. I was really worried that the gentle leader I had on her face for walks was making her very uncomfortable. We now know that she was rubbing her face in piles of dead leaves and sticks to itch it, but at the time I was worried. My mom suggested coconut oil to put on her skin, but she can't sit still and spend most of the time trying to eat it. After 48 hours, her conditions had not gotten any better and I decided to take her in. They put medicated eye drops in her eye, ran some tests, and checked on her skin. It turns out that her eye was just a little irritated, and that her skin was reacting to a change in the weather and that's why it had looked so severe. This vet visit was about $200 because of the test that they ran to check on her eye. This still was not covered under insurance because she had a history of this. So now we're on the second visit and I still haven't learned anything.
